The current Chair of the Scottish Arts Council, Dr Richard Holloway>, has been appointed to be Chair of a new joint board for the Scottish Arts Council to oversee the creation of a new single national cultural development body, Creative Scotland.

Grace Conacher (pictured) has joined the Horniman Museum as Assistant Director for Finance and Resources. For 25 years she has worked for the British Council, where she was most recently Deputy Director of Human Resources.

Sue Gannon is the new Administrator at Rejects Revenge Theatre Company. Previous Administrator, Adrian Watts, is now the companys General Manager.

Spitalfields Festival has announced the appointment of Alison Porter as Festival Assistant, Hannah Griffiths as Education Assistant, and Ian Baird as Marketing and Box Office Manager.

Tamara Garnault will be taking over from Sarah Pearson as the Arts Touring Administrator at Artservice. She previously worked for the Arts Council of Wales and co-ran Wales Actors Company.

Teresa Jones (pictured) has been appointed as Education and Outreach Manager at the new Grove Theatre in Dunstable. Her former role was as Education and Outreach manager at Milton Keynes Theatre, where she was responsible for MKT Raw and also the Milton Keynes Youth Festival.

Following the appointment of Jonathan Salisbury as Director of Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, Matt Ball, Artistic Director of Pleasure Seekers, has been announced as the new Director of Camden Peoples Theatre.

The National Association of Music Educators has appointed freelancer Gillian Garratt to the new part-time role of Regional Development Officer, covering three of its English regions until the end of 2007.

Peter Robinson has become the new Artistic Director at British Youth Opera. He succeeds Timothy Dean (pictured), who has been appointed as the permanent Chorus Director at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, following a period as Guest Director.

Woking Dance Festival has appointed Katie Cunliffe as Festival Project Manager, to develop and manage the 2007 festivals participatory and education programme, and Richard Garfield as Festival Technical Manager for the festivals international programme and site-specific projects.

Simon Daykin has been appointed as Director, Capital Project at Oxfords Pegasus Theatre, to oversee the organisations £6.5 million redevelopment plans. He was previously the theatres General Manager.

After two years at The Place as Classes and Courses Manager, Zoë Boden has joined Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company as Outreach and Production Co-ordinator.

Katharine Wrigley has been appointed as Programming and Marketing Assistant and Matthew Tarbuck as Technical Assistant at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.

Brenda Parkerson (pictured) is the new Business Development Manager for Arts & Business West Midlands. She was previously Creative Development Manager at Birmingham City Councils Arts Division and Economic Development Department and, most recently, a freelance arts consultant.

Equata, the South West disability arts development agency, has appointed Richard Cragg as its new Executive Director. Previously Deputy Chief Executive of North West Arts Board, he has been working as a consultant in the arts and cultural sector since 2001.

Mike Bradwell, Artistic Director of The Bush Theatre, has decided to step down at the end of the year after a decade at the theatre.

The Royal College of Music has appointed Nicholas Sears (pictured) as its Head of Vocal Studies. Currently a Senior Lecturer in Vocal Studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, he also works for Intermusica Artists Management Limited as Artist Manager with particular responsibility for singers.

Professor Johannes Birringer is the new Chair of Drama and Performance Technologies at Brunel Universitys School of Arts. He is also Creative Director of AlienNation Co., a Houston-based, non-profit performing arts organisation experimenting with cross-cultural ideas and multiple media.

April Fawcett has taken over as Press and Publicity Officer for Nottingham Arts Theatre.
