KRISHNA THIAGARAJAN will take up a new appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Seattle Symphony in America, leaving his role as Chief Executive of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in September.

JOANNA BAKER will step down as Managing Director of Edinburgh International Festival at the end of the year. She joined the organisation in 1992 as Marketing and Public Affairs Director and became Managing Director in 2006.
