Tom Trevor, Director of SPACEX, Exeter, has been appointed as the next Director of Bristol?s Arnolfini. He succeeds Caroline Collier, who will take up the position of Head of National Initiatives at Tate. Arnolfini?s Deputy Director, Helen Pearson, is also leaving to become Head of Fundraising at the University of Plymouth.


The Brewhouse in Taunton has appointed Robert Miles (pictured), founder of Hungry Horse Productions and Associate Producer at Theatre Royal Stratford East, as Director. He replaces Artistic Director Glenys Gill, who is retiring next year.

Dawn Austwick, Deputy Director of the British Museum and previously Project Director of Tate Modern, has been appointed Director of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. She succeeds Margaret Hyde.

Charles Davies has joined ticketing software company, Blackbaud, as marketing manager for its European ticketing division. He has previously worked with Dataculture Ltd, Tickets.com and Artlook Software.

Former Director of the West Yorkshire Playhouse and founder of multi-disciplinary arts organisation, Metal, Jude Kelly has been appointed as the first Artistic Director of London?s South Bank Centre. She will take on the role in addition to overseeing London?s arts programme for the 2012 Olympics.

Howard Raynor, Chief Executive of Manchester?s Bridgewater Hall, is stepping down from his full-time position to establish his own training and development agency for the North West, World Class Service Ltd. He will continue to source commercial programming for the concert hall.

Following a reorganisation, John Gilhooly, the current Executive Director of Wigmore Hall, has been appointed as the overall Director of the organisation. Paul Kildea stepped down as Artistic Director earlier this year.


Philip Bernays (pictured), Chief Executive of Cheltenham?s Everyman Theatre for the past ten years, has been appointed Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal, Newcastle upon Tyne, succeeding Peter Sarah, who died recently.

SPACE has appointed Anna Harding as its new Chief Executive, to take over from Charlotte Robinson.

Iain Hook, Treasurer and former Chair of the Chief Cultural and Leisure Officers Association, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management.

The Independent Street Arts Network has appointed a new co-ordinator, Julian Rudd, and a new administrator Boudicca Maloney.

Sarah Hughes is the new Communications Officer for the Culture and Arts Division at Queen?s University, Belfast, working for the Belfast Festival at Queen?s, Queen?s Film Theatre and Naughton Gallery. Emily Moulton is the new Festival Press Officer.

Georgina Neal has been as Director of Development at Opera Theatre Company, Ireland?s national touring opera company. She was previously Sponsorship and Development Manager with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.
National Museums Liverpool has appointed Victoria Moody as Secretary to the Board. She previously worked for the Information Commissioner?s Office, English Heritage and the Charity Commission.


Tracey McGeagh (pictured), previously Senior Policy Adviser for MLA?s Renaissance in the Regions programme, has been made Head of Marketing and Communications. Sian Cook has been promoted from Senior Development Officer to Head of Development.

Oval House Theatre has appointed Gary Stewart, until recently the Royal Shakespeare Company?s Stratford Manager, as General Manager to replace Nigel Lavender. Ben Evans is the theatre?s new programmer. He succeeds Karena Johnson who is now acting Artistic Director at Contact Theatre in Manchester while John McGrath is on sabbatical.

Dominic Hamilton, Jazz Festival Organiser at Cheltenham Arts Festivals, has left to join Worcestershire?s County Arts Service.

Business Link Tyne & Wear has appointed Paul Crozier to offer specific support and advice to creative companies.

Gavin O? Connor has joined the Arts Council of Northern Ireland as Arts Development Officer responsible for Youth Arts. He was previously Director of WheelWorks.
