The Art House, a community of artists behind the planned £3m arts centre in Wakefield, has made four appointments to support the development of the project: June Russell, Katy Woods and Waqar Ashraf as Project Officers and Helen Darlington as Artists Officer.

Anne Gallacher will be the new Executive Director at Watford Palace Theatre, working alongside new Artistic Director and Chief Executive, Brigid Larmour. She joins from Birmingham Royal Ballet where she was Education Director.

After five years as Chief Executive of Arts+Media Training, Marion Doyen has left to join the School of Art and Design at Coventry University as Business Development Manager. The new Chief Executive is Jeanne Jenner (pictured), who worked previously as Programme Director for Phoenix Arts Centre and for Arts & Business. A+MT has also appointed two Programme Managers, Cathryn Goodwin and Sheilagh Holmes.

Stephan Aal is moving from CTC Theatre in Darlington to join Theatre Company Blah, Blah, Blah in Leeds as General Manager.

Circomedia, Bristols circus school, has appointed Janet Winter as its first Chief Executive Officer. She has previously worked as Knowle West Health Park Manager and in the Bristol City Council Arts Service.

The new Head of Sales and Marketing at artsdepot is Claire Bowdler, who joins from the City of London Sinfonia where she has been Marketing Manager for the past four years. Glen Sutton has also joined the organisation, as Head of Business Development.

Writer development and training agency, Script, has appointed a new administrator, Kerry Murdock (pictured far left). Rachel Taylor (pictured left) has become the Programmes Director. 

At the London Sinfonietta, Jane Williams has been promoted to Head of Artistic Planning and will be Acting General Manager until a new Managing Director is appointed. Elizabeth Gilbert is promoted to Administration Manager, Claire Willis has become Concerts and Touring Administrator and graduate trainee Hannah Plummer joins as Administrative Assistant.

Nicky Weller has been promoted to Fundraising Manager and Fiona Haycock has been appointed Producer of the Silverclef Lunch at Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, the UKs largest specialist music therapy charity. The appointments follow the departure of former Appeals Manager, Linda McLean, who has left the charity due to ill health.

Ernst Vegelin van Claerbergen has been announced as the new Head of the Courtauld Galleries, with responsibility for both the Courtauld Institute of Art Gallery and the Hermitage Rooms at Somerset House. He was previously Senior Curator at the Courtauld and Acting Head of the Gallery.

The Swaledale Festival has appointed Justin Doyle as its new Artistic Director. He is also Artistic Director of the Ryedale Festival and Eastern Opera, and Musical Director of The Kings Camerata and the Dorking Choral Society.

Barry Hepton has joined The Hub National Centre for Crafts and Design as Head of Learning.

Darren Henley (pictured) has been promoted from his role of Station Manager to become Managing Director of Classic FM and its new sister station theJazz. His role will encompass the business management of brand extensions at both stations, including concerts and books.

Christine Mathews-Sheen has joined the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres in the newly created position of Director of Finance and Administration. She comes from Tate, where she was Head of Corporate Events.

Laura Elliott has left Arts Training Central to join Coventry Artspace as Artists Co-ordinator.

After three years at Croydon Clocktower as Arts Programmes Manager, Jonathan Kennedy is leaving to become Executive Director at Tara Arts.

Haidee Bell has joined The City University to manage its ESF-funded initiative Celebrating Enterprise. She was most recently head of the research and marketing team at ABL Cultural Consulting.

The Edinburgh International Book Festival has announced that Sara Grady, formerly Head of Childrens Books and Events at Blackwell Edinburgh, has been appointed as the new Children and Education Programme Director. She takes over from Karen Mountney, who was the Childrens Programme Director at the Book Festival for the past four years.

Rachel Mather has joined Lake District Summer Music as its first ever dedicated Marketing Manager. She spent the previous four years marketing for English Lakes Hotels.
