Artbox, a collection of thirty artworks from the collection of local philanthropist Eric Robinson, has just completed a tour of 12 schools across Shropshire, where students were encouraged to touch, examine and create responses to the work (pictured).

The pieces, including works by Aubrey Beardsley, Jack Vettriano and Terry Frost, were contained in a specially designed treasure chest, and accompanied by a curator and artists. Events were stage managed to provoke pupils? reactions, including a mock-up of a desert island where the artworks had been washed up and were in the care of a mermaid.
