A 1,200-seat privately-funded theatre and film venue in Peterborough is celebrating its first live performance with a sell-out appearance by Bond, in the penultimate date of a 17-venue tour on October 6th. The Broadway, which is a modernisation and conversion of a 1937 Odeon cinema, has been funded by Peter Boizot, founder of Pizza Express.

The original ?moderne? auditorium has been fully restored, including purpose-designed carpets and fabrics, yet the £6m project is estimated by architect Tim Foster to have cost only half that of a new building of equivalent size.
