Six dance organisations across England have been selected to implement Action Research projects funded by the Arts Council of England.
The projects will each deliver a dance programme which will be analysed and used by the funding bodies to assess the best ways to allocate community dance grants. Attik Dance, East London Dance, Dance United, Motionhouse, Tees Dance Initiative and The Place were chosen from 50 applicants for the awards. The Tees Dance Initiative (pictured) will be delivering a dance programme to young people in one of the most socially deprived districts of Middlesbrough, and has already found additional financial support from other funders and education providers.
