An analysis of business investment in cultural organisations has ranked Birmingham as the number one city in the UK for corporate support. The Business Investment in Culture league table (BIC) is based on Arts & Businesss 2004/05 survey findings, and takes into account the total value of business investment in a city, annual growth of business investment, the percentage of cultural organisations receiving any business investment and the percentage receiving more than £100,000 a year.

Birminghams top place comes as a result of an 84% growth in investment, with organisations such as Birmingham Royal Ballet (pictured), supported by The Patrick Trust, making a major contribution to the positive picture.
