JONATHAN CHURCH, who resigned three months ago as Artistic Director of Sydney Theatre Company, is to become Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Bath’s summer season. He will combine the role with work on his recently established production company, Jonathan Church Productions.
The Watts Gallery Board of Trustees has elected former Director of Academic Affairs at the Royal Academy of Arts MARYANNE STEVENS as its new Chair, succeeding RICHARD ORMOND. She will take up the role from Autumn 2017 and be joined by MATTHEW BOWCOCK as Deputy Chair, whose appointment takes effect immediately.
Former Training and Support Specialist at OmniTicket Network RACHEL HILL, who spent a year as Project Consultant with Syx Automations, has re-joined the company as Business Systems Analyst.

AIMEE SHIELDS is joining the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, North Yorkshire, as Youth Theatre Officer. She currently works for Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Newcastle and prior to that was at the Pauline Quirke Academy in Durham.

After almost 11 years as Director of Manchester’s Castlefield Gallery, KWONG LEE is stepping down to spend more time with his family in Hong Kong.
Arts Catalyst has appointed KYOKO TACHIBANA as Curator in Residence, ahead of the departure of Curator ALEC STEADMAN, who is taking up the role of Co-Chief Curator of Cemeti Art House in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Tachibana, who is currently Programme Director at S-AIR, an artist residency organisation in Sapporo, Japan, will join the organisation for a year funded by a grant from the Japanese government.

ELLEN MCDOUGALL will take on the role of Artistic Director at London’s Gate Theatre from March 2017. Currently an Associate Artist at The Gate, she replaces CHRISTOPHER HAYDON, who leaves to pursue a Clore Fellowship and freelance opportunities.

RICHARD RUSSELL, previously Director of Strategy at Arts Council England, and FRANCIS RUNACRES, previously Director of Investment, have both been promoted. RUSSELL becomes Chief Operating Officer, while RUNACRES takes on the new role of Executive Director, Enterprise and Innovation.
