Professor SARAH PERKS, Artistic Director: Visual Art at HOME in Manchester, is leaving to pursue independent international curatorial and writing projects. She will stay in her role at Manchester School of Art and continue to work with HOME as an Artistic Associate.
RACHEL LANDON has taken on the role of Chief Executive for the Music in Secondary Schools Trust. She recently worked at the City of London Academy Highbury Grove and was the founding chair of the Highbury Grove School Foundation. She replaces former Chief Executive TRUDA WHITE, who will continue to take an active role in the organisation.
The new Artistic Director at The Royal Academy of Dance will be GERARD CHARLES, who is leaving his current position as Director of Artistic Operations at Joffrey Ballet in Chicago to take on the role. He returns to the UK after spending more than 40 years in America, where he has worked in several executive roles for major dance companies.
Head of Residencies and Awards at artist studio provider Acme, LEA O'LOUGHLIN has been appointed President of the Board of Res Artis, the worldwide network of artist residencies, which is based in Amsterdam with satellite offices in Melbourne and Tehran.

The Director and Chief Executive of the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, VICTORIA FIRTH, is stepping down. She will take up the part-time role of Associate Director. KAREN O’NEILL, currently Deputy Director and a recent Clore Leadership fellow, will lead the organisation as Interim Director and Chief Executive.
Cornwall based experimental theatre company WildWorks has appointed two new Board members. GAVIN STRIDE, Director of Farnham Maltings and former vice chair of Arts Council England South East, joins as the new Chair of Trustees, and is joined by documentary film maker and Director of the School of Film and Television at Falmouth University, Professor CHRISTOPHER MORRIS.
TARA LOPEZ has joined The Spark Arts for Children as Creative Producer, to support the annual festival and take the lead on Vital Spark, a programme addressing the gap of diverse work for children and young people.
After 15 years as Executive Director of the Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse theatres, DEBORAH AYDON is stepping down to pursue new opportunities. An ambassador and champion for Liverpool, she has played an instrumental role in Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium (LARC), and was made an honorary fellow of Liverpool John Moores University in 2014.
ALAN BALLANY is Purple Seven’s new Territory Manager, Scotland. He moves from Culture Republic where he was Strategic Planning Director.
