Founder of The Oxford School of Drama 33 years ago, GEORGE PECK, will retire as Principal in 2019. KATE ASHCROFT, Executive Director from 1997 – 2017 and now Head of Marketing and Development, will leave at the same time.
After a 30-year career in the arts, including roles as Director of the Paisley 2021 City of Culture bid and a board member at National Theatre of Scotland, JEAN CAMERON has been appointed President of the Paisley Art Institute. She takes over from DAVID SUTTON, who has held the post for three years.
TONY STOLLER CBE, formerly Chair of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, will become Chair of Orchestras Live when the incumbent, MARK BROMLEY, steps down after a full term of office.
CHRIS RAWCLIFFE, founder of artist project space Pro Numb in Hackney, and currently Relationship Manager for Visual Arts at Arts Council England, has been appointed Artistic Director of creative producers Forma.

Director and writer LYNETTE LINTON has been appointed as Bush Theatre’s new Artistic Director. She was previously Resident Assistant Director at the Donmar Warehouse and Associate Director at the Gate Theatre from 2016 to 2017, where she set up the Young Associate company.
Ahead of a move to a new role as joint Chief Executive of Citizens Theatre in spring 2019, ALEX MCGOWAN is to leave his position as joint Chief Executive at The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh. He has spent eight years in the role.
SARA MOHR-PIETSCH, music broadcaster, curator and writer, has been appointed Artistic Director of the Dartington International Summer School and Festival. She takes over from JOANNA MACGREGOR, whose festival in 2019 will be her fifth and final outing.
CLAIRE SOMERVILLE re-joined Babylon ARTS (ADEC) in August 2018 as Executive Director, having previously delivered projects for the organisation between 2004 and 2006. Most recently she was Head of Children and Young People's Dance at One Dance UK.
CLARE THORP, who spent a large part of her 20-year career as a journalist and duty editor on the BBC’s flagship Radio 4 Today programme, has been appointed as the National Theatre’s new Director of Press and Communications.
Currently Associate Director at Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre, GARETH NICHOLLS will become interim Artistic Director at the venue in early December. He takes over from ORLA O’LOUGHLIN, who will take up a new role as Vice Principal and Director of Drama at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
