Intergenerational arts charity Magic Me has appointed four new trustees to its board: PHIL CAVE, consultant and former Director at Arts Council England; HAZEL GOULD, librettist, director and facilitator; DAMIAN HEBRON, Programme Manager in NESTA’s Health Lab; and DAVID RUSSELL, from NHS England’s Strategy Team.
CATHERINE HEARNE, Chief Executive of Helix Arts, has been appointed Chair of Culture Bridge North East’s Advisory Board. She is joined by GEMMA DYER, Prince’s Trust Public Sector Partnerships Manager North, as Vice Chair.

CATH JAMES, most recently Acting Artistic Director and CEO of South East Dance, has been selected as the organisation’s new Artistic Director. The appointment comes as part of an organisational restructure following the death of former Artistic Director and CEO JAMIE WATTON in July.
EDDIE NIXON, who has spent time as both Associate Director and Director of Theatre and Artist Development at The Place, will become the organisation’s new Artistic Director. He takes over from RICHARD ALSTON, who announced he would step down earlier this year after 24 years with the organisation.
FRANCESCA HEGYI, formerly Executive Director of Hull 2017 UK City of Culture, will join Edinburgh International Festival as Executive Director in February 2019.
