ALTHEA EFUNSHILE, previously Deputy Chief Executive of Arts Council England, has been appointed as Ballet Black’s new Chair.

After 17 years as Executive Director at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, STUART ROGERS has announced he will leave the organisation in 2019. This follows news that Artistic Director ROXANA SILBERT will also move roles in 2019, to become Artistic Director of Hampstead Theatre.
The current Associate Director of the Curve in Leicester, SUBA DAS, been appointed Artistic Director of HighTide. He will work alongside STEVEN ATKINSON, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the company for the past 12 years, until Atkinson departs following the 2019 festivals.
Following roles at companies including Fuel, Talawa, National Theatre, Actors Touring Company and Paines Plough – as Producer and Project Manager, Theatre Administrator and Assistant to the Directors/General PA – MIMI FINDLAY has been appointed Producer at Clean Break. She will join the organisation from January.
Following the departure of Kevin Shaw, Oldham Coliseum Theatre’s Associate Director, CHRIS LAWSON, has stepped up to become Acting Artistic Director.
ARNOUT VAN DER VEER, independent consultant and CEO of the Henri Moerel foundation, is to be the first Chair of Wales’ music endowment fund, Anthem, which will begin distributing funds in 2021.
NIAMH O’FLAHERTY, currently Senior Producer at Hofesh Shechter Company, has been appointed Executive Director of Cheek by Jowl. She will be taking over from Interim Executive Director NATALIE HIGHWOOD.
Herts Inclusive Theatre’s (HIT) chair, PATRICK MOLONEY, is retiring from the role after 17 years. GAYLE BRYANS, a trustee at HIT and Deputy Director of Mousetrap Theatre Projects, will take over as Chair.
STELLA BARNES is to join Community Arts North West (CAN) as its new Creative Director from late January 2019. She succeeds CILLA BAYNES MBC, outgoing Creative Director and a Co-founder of CAN, which was established in 1978.
Chetham’s School of Music has announced that TOM REDMOND, who has performed with orchestras including the Hallé, the CBSO, Philharmonia and the LSO, will succeed STEPHEN THRELFALL as director of music from September 2019.
