Tim Roberts, the leading ticketing and CRM specialist in the Asia/Pacific region, died suddenly from a heart attack on 4 April 2014, aged 53. Gone too soon, with many projects under way, he leaves a big hole personally and professionally.

The new Director of Development for the Royal Shakespeare Company is REBECCA PRESTON. She is currently Development Director for the Southbank Centre and has previously worked at the Royal Court Theatre, the ICA and the Terrence Higgins Trust.
Baritone SIR THOMAS ALLEN has been appointed as Music Adviser to Scottish Opera. He will provide high level input and advice while the company recruits a Music Director.

Conservative MP SAJID JAVID is the new Culture Secretary, following MARIA MILLER’S resignation over expenses. The state-school educated Javid entered Parliament in 2010 after running Deutshe Bank’s trading operations in Asia. He voted strongly for reducing central government funding of local government and has cited Margaret Thatcher as an "inspiration".
