Luca Silvestrini’s Protein has appointed SOPHIE ROSE as Producer and MELANIE PRECIOUS as Participation Producer. Rose has previously worked for Gandini Juggling and the National Centre for Circus Arts, alongside her own work as a devisor/performer, while Precious has held roles at roles at Dance East, Hofesch Shechter Company and The Place.

TESSA ROSS, appointed last year as Chief Executive of the National Theatre, will be stepping down from this role on the grounds that "the new leadership structure, with a separate role of Chief Executive, is not right for the NT at this time." She will remain working with the National as a consultant, with RUFUS NORRIS leading the organisation as Director and LISA BURGER as Executive Director.

Museums Galleries Scotland has appointed MANUS FULLERTON as Chair of the Board. Currently Director of Xi Engineering Consultants Ltd and Chairman of Inquisitive Systems Ltd, he also sits on the Board of VisitScotland.
The poet, editor and translator SASHA DUGDALE joins KEIREN PHELAN as Artistic Co-Director of Winchester Poetry Festival. She succeeds STEPHEN BOYCE, who remains a member of the festival’s board.
After 17 years leading the arts education arm of Pegasus in Oxford, YASMIN SIDHWA is leaving her position to start her own professional theatre company focused on social justice. Mandala Theatre Company will work with performers aged 18-25 from diverse backgrounds to create and tour performances nationally and internationally.
XTRAX has appointed ALEX WINKCUP as Project Manager: Evaluation and Audience Development. He was previously Research Officer at The Audience Agency.
JONATHAN TODD will apply his expertise in producing economic analysis to the cultural and creative economy as the new Chief Economist for BOP Consulting. He will continue to manage the research programme of UK Music.
FAROOQ CHAUDHRY has stepped down as Chair of Dance UK, following his public comments about contemporary dance training in the UK. JULIAN FLITTER becomes Interim Chair.
After two years in post, Director of Colchester’s Firstsite gallery, MATTHEW ROWE is stepping down. The move follows the announcement that the gallery has lost its national portfolio status and been put under a special funding agreement by Arts Council England.

NEIL MACGREGOR will step down as Director of the British Museum at the end of the year. He has held the position since 2002, following 15 years as Director of the National Gallery. He will continue working closely with the British Museum while creating a new series for Radio 4 and is taking on advisory roles at museums in Germany and Mumbai. A new Director is yet to be appointed.
