A new Head of Communications has been appointed at the New Wolsey Theatre. MICHELLE EMMERSON-GREY, who has worked with the University of Suffolk and a national workspace provider, will join the theatre’s senior management team.
STEPHEN NEWBOULD is to become Interim Chief Executive of Spitalfields Music from September. He was Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG) from 2001 – 2016, and takes up the mantle at Spitalfields from ELEANOR GUSSMAN whilst she is on maternity leave.
STEPH SCHOLTEN, previously Director of Heritage Collections at The University of Amsterdam, has become Director of the Hunterian. She takes over from Professor DAVID GAIMSTER, who has become Director of the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
The 256-seat Stantonbury Theatre in Milton Keynes has selected LUCY CUTHBERTSON as its new Artistic Director. She replaces HILARY RHODES, who had since 2000 been Arts Development Manager at the theatre.

Previously Director of English National Ballet School, DELIA BARKER has taken up the newly-created role of Programmes Director at The Roundhouse.
JON GILCHRIST, the Bush Theatre’s Executive Director since 2014, is to step down from the post at the end of 2017. He will work as a consultant in cultural regeneration from the Autumn.
The Hallé Concerts Society has appointed RUTH HARKIN, Director of Finance and Support Services at St Ann’s Hospice, as its new Finance Director. She takes over from VAL HAWKIN, who will continue to work part-time with the orchestra.
