ALICE WRIGHT, previously Marketing and Communications Manager at Nottingham Lakeside Arts, has joined Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich as General Manager. Her earlier career included work at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall, Rose Theatre Kingston, Tricycle Theatre, HQ Theatres and Norwich Playhouse.

Culture Company, the organisation originally set up to deliver the Hull UK City of Culture 2017 programme, has appointed LEE CORNER as its new Chair for its next phase of activity. Lee, who has been as an advisor to the Performing Arts Environment Forum in Japan for over ten years, takes over from ROSIE MILLARD.
DESPINA TSATSAS, currently Executive Producer at Punchdrunk International, will take on the role of Executive Director at the Young Vic theatre in London this summer. She takes over from Interim Executive Director, SARAH HALL.

After almost ten years as the Arts Council of Wales’ Head of Communications and External Affairs, BETSAN MOSES has been appointed Chief Executive of the National Eisteddfod of Wales. She succeeds ELFED ROBERTS, who will retire later this year after over 30 years at the helm.
Formerly Hull UK City of Culture 2017 Director and Chief Executive, MARTIN GREEN has taken on a new role as Chair of theatre company Middle Child as it enters Arts Council England’s National Portfolio for 2018-22.
After 27 years in post, KEVIN LEWIS will leave Theatr Iolo at the end of March to pursue new opportunities.
REBECCA BLACKMAN has become Director of Engagement and Audiences at Arts Council England, and will lead on Creative People and Places projects across the country. She is also the national funder’s Midlands Director, heading up the Nottingham office.

JO HEMMANT, Director of Operations and Deputy CEO at Hackney Empire since 2012, and recently acting Chief Executive, has become Executive Director of the organisation. She will work closely with YAMIN CHOUDURY, Executive Producer of Creative Learning at the organisation since 2017, who becomes Director of Artistic Programme.
Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre has appointed BRYONY SHANAHAN as Associate Artistic Director. She will work alongside Artistic Director SARAH FRANKCOM and Executive Director MARK DOBSON, taking over from MATTHEW XIA.
