Former Chair Alison Croose and newly appointed Chair Adrian Parker, King's Lynn Festival.
(l-r) Alison Croose, Adrian Parker

ADRIAN PARKER has been selected to succeed ALISON CROOSE as Chair of King's Lynn Festival.

Parker steps up from his role as Vice-Chair, which he assumed in 2014. Croose will remain at King's Lynn Festival as a board member.

Parker was Borough Planning Officer at King's Lynn Council before becoming setting up his own company, Adrian Parker Planning Ltd.

He chaired the town's Friends of St Nicholas' Chapel until 2022.

"The festival puts King’s Lynn on the map, attracting people from far beyond West Norfolk and supporting our local economy by an estimated £75,000," Parker commented.

Speaking of Croose's legacy, he added: “Alison has been a part of the festival board for 25 years and, in her 11 years as chairman, she has overseen huge changes in the festival programme, extending it to an all-year series of concerts, lectures and school events.

"We thank her most warmly for guiding us through these challenging years."
