CILIP

JO CORNISH will step into the role of Interim CEO at the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) following the announcement that current CEO NICK POOLE will depart at the end of March.

Cornish will begin on 1 February and continue until a new Chief Executive is in post.

A chartered fellow of CILIP with a background in public libraries, Cornish is currently the organisation’s Chief Development Officer.

During her eight years with CILIP, Cornish has gained experience in membership needs and the organisation's priorities. She was also involved with rewriting the sector skills standards and introducing apprenticeships to the sector.

Previously, she worked in library services for Hertfordshire County Council.
