Theatre company Graeae has three new Associate Artists and a Trainee Producer.
SONNY NWACHUKWU and BRITNY VIRGINIA will work as associate artists focused on directing and devising.
Nwachukwu is a London-based writer, director and performer who was awarded an Unlimited and Spirit of 2012 commission to create his first full length work, Saturn Returns, in 2019.
Virginia is a film director, producer and self-published author. She has previously worked on creative events for Theatre Peckham.
KATE LOVELL will work as an associate artist covering new writing and artist development.
Previously Co-Artistic Director of Bread and Goose Theatre, Lovell was awarded a Testing Ground commission by New Wolsey Theatre in 2020 to develop a play, Zero.
The trio join the company from November 1 alongisde new trainee producer ROBYN BOWYER, a graduate of the Beyond Graeae development programme and former Wire Aerial Theatre Programme Co-ordinator.
