Fun Palaces has announced the departure of STELLA DUFFY and SARAH-JANE RAWLINGS (right), the co-founders and co-directors of the organisation they established in 2013.

Taking over from them will be two new co-directors. Bristol-based community worker and musician MAKALA CHEUNG works part time at Filwood Community Centre leading the creative community project Filwood Fantastic. She was named a culture ambassador by Bristol & West of England China Bureau and was one of the city’s first Happiness Champions. She joins KIRSTY LOTHIAN, who has been Fun Palaces’ Producer since 2014. She previously worked with the theatre company Improbable and directed operas for Bury Court Opera and the Anghiari Festival.

They will work with an established team of regional ambassadors who work with partnership organisations across the UK, and three new ambassadors who will be recruited in Devon, Rotherham and Sage Gateshead.
