Kids in Museums has appointed VANESSA EKE as its new Chair.

She succeeds EMMAJANE AVERY, who stepped down from the charity in June after a five-year tenure.

Eke is Managing Director of LanguageLine Solutions, a role she has held since 2006. She has 20 years of experience working to enable people with language difficulties and disability to access public and commercial services.

She worked in the magazine publishing industry for two decades before branching out into new industries, holding previous roles as Managing Director of Nielsen Media Research and Adex International.

Kids in Museums says Eke brings a wealth of commercial experience to her new role, pairing it with a love of museums, art, music and history.

“The privilege of being appointed as Chair of Kids in Museums gives me the opportunity to help support and enable museums and places of historic interest to attract and engage the next generation from diverse nationwide communities, learning from the events of the past to create a better future,” she said.
