Ben Bradshaw MP
Richard Alston

Ben Bradshaw MP (pictured) has been appointed as the new Secretary of State for
Culture, Media and Sport for England, following the Prime Minister’s reshuffle. His predecessor, Andy Burnham, has been promoted to become the Health Secretary. Bradshaw, a former journalist, previously held ministerial posts at the Health and Environment departments.
Phil Cunningham is the final appointee to the board of Creative Scotland 2009 Ltd. He will be a Non-Executive Director for the company that is completing work to merge the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen into Creative Scotland.
Youth Dance England (YDE), the national organisation that promotes dance for children and young people, has announced Richard Alston (pictured), of Richard Alston Dance Company, as its new Chair. He replaces Jeremy Newton, who recently became Chief Executive of The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts. Will Hutchinson, Cultural Adviser for The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, also joins the board of YDE.
Pete Hunter has joined Apples & Snakes, a performance poetry organisation, as its first South East Co-ordinator. He will be based at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton.
Megan Purdie (pictured far left) is the new Outreach Co-ordinator at Salisbury Arts Centre. Isabelle Budden (pictured above right) has joined as Administration and Projects Co-ordinator, replacing Abi Bruford, who is now a Field Worker for the Find Your Talent project.
