Pam Henderson (pictured) has been appointed as Chief Executive of Arts Intelligence Limited, publisher of ArtsProfessional magazine. She has been a director of The Henderson Aplin Partnership since 2005, and prior to that was Director of the Arts Marketing Association and of Cambridge Drama Centre. She will join the company in April, and in her new role will lead a series of new business developments.

 

Angela Galvin (pictured), Chief Executive of Sheffield Theatres, will be standing down at the end of March. She joined as Marketing Director, and has been Chief Executive since 2004.

The Donmar Warehouse has appointed James Bierman as Executive Producer, taking over from Lucy Davies. Bierman assumes the role with immediate effect, having been Acting Executive Producer for the previous nine months during Davies’ maternity leave.

The London Mozart Players (LMP) has appointed Simon Funnell (pictured) as its new Managing Director, succeeding Antony Lewis-Crosby who retires in March. Funnell comes to the LMP from the Orchestra of St John’s, where he was Chief Executive.

The Castle, Wellingborough has announced Nik Ashton as its new Artistic Director. He replaces Karl Wallace.

The new Audience Development Manager at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery, in Preston, is Debbie Smith. She moves from Urbis, in Manchester, where she was Marketing Co-ordinator.

‘Chester Performs’ has appointed Nancy Rutherford as Marketing and PR Manager. She moves from the Liverpool Culture Company.

Barry Hepton (pictured), Head of Learning at the Hub National Centre for Craft & Design is now working three days a week at the centre and working part-time as a freelance .

Graeme Park is moving from Scottish Ballet to become Communications Officer at YoungScot, the Scottish youth information service. Heather Crumley will be taking over as Marketing and Press Assistant at Scottish Ballet.

Following the retirement of Sir John Hannam, British Youth Opera has appointed Hugh Merrill as its new Chairman.

Simon Duval Smith (pictured) is the new editor of Charity Finance, succeeding Ian Allsop who leaves to look after his children full-time.

 

Jodi Bennett has been promoted to Marketing Manager (Campaigns) at Welsh National Opera.

Mark Ball (pictured) will be the new Artistic Director of ‘Lift’ arts festival from April. He is currently Head of Events and Exhibitions at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Zoë Davidson has joined Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire as Projects Officer.

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic has announced that Sir Charles Mackerras CH AC CBE has accepted the honorary position of Conductor Emeritus.

Rob Dickins CBE will become Chairman of The Theatres Trust from 1 February. He is a Visiting Professor at both the University Of The Arts and London Metropolitan University.
