Simon Webb (pictured) will be joining The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as Director of Orchestral Management. He was formerly a professional cellist and Chairman of the London Philharmonic Orchestra,
and is currently a Fellow on the Clore Cultural Leadership programme. He takes over from Michael Buckley who retires this summer.

The Promoters Arts Network for the Highlands and Islands area has appointed local development workers Lindsay Dunbar (pictured) for the Black Isle area and Sandy Maxwell for Argyll.

Branislav Henselmann becomes DanceEast’s new Head of Programming and Learning. He comes from New York City Ballet’s Choreographic Institute, where he was the Artistic Curator.

Emma Derrick (pictured), previously Marketing and Events Co-ordinator the Cultural Industries Development Agency, is joining the National Deaf Children’s Society as Marketing Executive.

Dame Liz Forgan has been appointed as Chair of the Project Board for Stories of the World, one of the ten Major Projects of the Cultural Olympiad. Formerly Managing Director of BBC Radio and Director of  Programmes at Channel 4, she has Chaired the National Heritage Memorial Fund and Heritage Lottery Fund, and has been a non-executive board member of the
DCMS.

Siobhan Davies Dance has appointed Franck Bordese (pictured) as its new Executive Director, replacing Andrew Broadley. His roles have included Deputy Director at the South London Gallery and General Manager at East London Dance.

David Farr is to stand down as Artistic Director of the Lyric Hammersmith next year to become Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). He has previously headed the artistic work at Bristol Old Vic and London’s Gate Theatre. Rupert Goold and Roxana Silbert have been appointed as Associate Directors of the RSC, while Anthony Neilson will join as Literary Associate and Kathryn Hunter will become Artistic Associate.

After serving for more than ten years as Artistic Director of Exeter Northcott, Ben Crocker will be leaving the organisation in August to concentrate on developing his freelance career, as both writer and director, in the UK and abroad.

Karl Wallace (pictured) joins Siamsa Tíre, The National Folk Theatre and Arts Centre in Ireland as Chief Executive, leaving his current role as Artistic Director of the Castle Theatre and Arts Centre in Northamptonshire. His previous roles include Artistic Director of Kabosh Theatre Company, Belltable Theatre in Limerick and Chair of Ransom Theatre Company.

John Bultitude (pictured) is the new Press Officer at Norwich Theatre Royal. He is a former freelance journalist and presenter and was involved with the launch or rebrand of several radio stations across East Anglia.
Michelle Jordan has been seconded into the Transition Creative Scotland project as Communications Manager for the team. She will be continuing with her Scottish Arts Council role as Head of Communications.

The Devon Guild of Craftsmen has appointed two new Directors. Erica Steer (pictured) comes from Arts Council South West. Sarah James (pictured), who set up the Made applied arts gallery in Bristol, is from the annual Contemporary Craft Fair in Devon.
