The Albany’s new Head of Creative Programmes is RAIDENE CARTER. She was formerly a Producer for the venue before leaving to take up the role of Associate Producer at Birmingham REP.

SHARON GILL is the new Chief Executive of Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance. She was previously Arts Co-ordinator for the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Project Manager for Open Up, the South Yorkshire open artists studio event for 7 years. She is also Art Director for the outdoor arts event, Art In The Gardens.

Professor ANN SUMNER has taken up the role of Director of the new Birmingham Museums Trust, with responsibility for running Birmingham Museums and Art Gallery and Thinktank. She has been Director of the Barber Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Birmingham since 2007, and has held posts at the National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of Wales, Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Harewood House Trust.

Local businesswoman SARAH KING has taken over as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees at Polka Theatre following the departure of PAUL WINDSOR after six years at the helm.
 

Curve in Leicester has appointed two new members to its Artistic Team. TIM FORD leaves The Nuffield Theatre to become Associate Director, Participation and Learning. And SUBA DAS, a director of classical and site-specific work, is the new Associate Director, Community Engagement.

CHRIS HEIGHTON is the new Arts Development Officer based at the University of Lincoln’s College of Arts. The post has been created through a collaboration between the University and Lincolnshire County Council. Heighton leaves his post at the Council, where he was responsible for a number of culture projects.

Visual Artists Ireland has appointed FEARGAL O’MALLEY as Northern Ireland Manager. He was previously Exhibitions Manager at Ormeau Baths Gallery.

Head of Contemporary Music at Schott Music, SARAH OSBORN is stepping down after eight years with the company. She takes up the position of General Manager at The Music Publishers Association.

HEATHER WALKER is taking on the role of Deputy Chief Executive at The Roundhouse, and NICOLA THOROLD will become Executive Producer. Walker has been Commercial and Operations Director at the Roundhouse for three months and will take up her new post immediately. Thorold, who was previously Director of Theatre at Arts Council England, will combine her new role with her current position as Co-director of World Stages London.

The National Youth Choir of Scotland has appointed MORAG CAMOBELL as its new Chief Executive. She leaves Stevenson College, Edinburgh, where she is currently Associate Principal and leads the Faculty of Creative Industries.

KATE ROSSER FROST has joined the British Academy as Press & PR Manager. She was previously at the Museum of London.

KIM STREETS has taken over as Chief Executive of Museums Sheffield. Previously the Museums’ Director of Learning & Knowledge, she replaces NICK DODD, who took voluntary redundancy in February.

ANNILESE MISKIMMON will step down as Artistic Director of Opera Theatre Company in August to become General Manager/Artistic Director of Danish National Opera. She has been with the company for eight years.

Assistant Director of Salisbury Arts Centre since 2005, GEMMA OKELL has been appointed as the organisation’s new Director. She will take over from DERYCK NEWLAND when he moves to his new post as Artistic Director of Dance South West/Pavilion Dance.

SEAN WILLIAMS is leaving the Council for Dance Education and Training to return to a full-time career in freelance screenwriting.

Youth Music has appointed MATT GRIFFITHS as its new Executive Director following CHRISTINA COKER’S decision to step down as Chief Executive. Griffiths is currently Executive Director of Plymouth Music Zone. ANGELA LINTON is the new Operations Director. Following five years as Director of Operations at The Sorrell Foundation, she takes over from outgoing Director of Programmes NICK HOWDLE.
