ROSAMOND MURDOCH

COLIN BLUMENAU, Artistic Director of the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, is stepping down after fifteen years in post. He will continue to be associated with the theatre and will direct a production in September. He has already handed over the Chief Executive part of his role to SIMON DAYKIN.

BETSAN LLWYD is to succeed TONY LLEWELYN as Artistic Director of Theatr Bara Caws. She is an actress and theatre director who has previously directed three productions for Bata Caws.

Chief Executive of Buxton Festival GLYN FOLEY is retiring. He steps down after fourteen years in post. He will be succeeded by RANDALL SHANNON, who has previously worked as CEO of Opera Northern Ireland and the Irish Chamber Orchestra.

Executive Director of the Stage Management Association, BARBARA EIFLER is to leave the company to take up the position of Head of Membership for Making Music. She has worked for the SMA since 1999.

The new Festival Director of the Bergen International Festival will be ANDERS BEYER. He is currently the Artistic Director and General Manager of Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen.

Assistant Chief Executive of the Music Publishers Association, JENNY GOODWIN is laving after ten years to become the Manager of a new auditorium currently under construction at Saffron Walden County High School.

Arts Consultant KIM EVANS OBE has been appointed Chair of the Board of Clean Break. Her previous roles have included Executive Director of Arts at Arts Council England and Head of Music & Arts at the BBC.

Chief Executive of The Mayflower Theatre, Southampton DENNIS HALL is retiring. He has held the post for twenty-six years. A successor has yet to be found.

Bath International Music Festival has appointed ALASDAIR NICOLSON to the position of Artistic Director. He will succeed JOANNA MACGREGOR, after she oversees her seventh and final festival this year.

SCOTT FURLONG is to take up the newly created role of Director of the Acquisitions, Exports, Loans and Collections Unit for Arts Council England. He will be stepping down from his position as Head of Collections Management at the National Maritime Museum, which he has held for the past five years.

ART HK, Hong Kong’s international art fair, has appointed YUKO HASEGAWA to the newly created position of Projects Curator. She has directed, curated and advised for a number of international biennales, including the Shanghai Biennale (2002), the 29th São Paulo Biennale and the 12th Venice Architectural Biennale.

The Jewish Museum has appointed ABIGAIL MORRIS as Chief Executive, to work alongside Museum Director Rickie Burman. Morris has previously worked as CEO of ResponseAbility and CEO of Jewish Women’s Aid.

DERYCK NEWLAND has been appointed as Artistic Director to lead Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth’s national dance house and Dance South West, the region’s national dance development agency. He has been Director of Salisbury Arts Centre since 2007.

Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design has appointed a new Head of College, Professor JEREMY TILL, to take over from Professor JANE RAPLEY when she retires in August. He is an architect and academic, currently at the University of Westminster.

MARK TAYLOR has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive of the Wales Millennium Centre to return to London to pursue other opportunities in the international business event and leisure sector. He was Commercial Director of the Barbican Centre before moving to Cardiff in September 2010 and took over from JUDITH ISHERWOOD, who stepped down to take up a post in Australia.

ROSAMOND MURDOCH is the new Gallery Director for Bow Arts Trust, a major studio provider to artists. She was previously manager of the View Tube.

UK Music’s new Chief Executive is JO DIPPLE, the organisation’s former senior policy advisor who stepped up to this role on an acting basis following FEARGAL SHARKEY’s resignation last year. Before joining UK Music in 2008 she was a strategic communications adviser to Tony Blair and Head of Public Affairs at Trinity Mirror.
