MARK DOBSON will join Manchester’s Royal Exchange as Executive Director in July, taking over from FIONA GASPER. He is currently Chief Executive of Tyneside Cinema.
Artistic Director of Theatre503, PAUL ROBINSON, will be leaving in June after ten years in post to join The Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough as Artistic Director.
ANDREW BOLT has been appointed as Chief Executive of Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Previously General Manager of Australia’s Perth Concert Hall, he has also been involved in the management of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Frantic Assembly has made two new management appointments: PETE STAVES, currently Senior Relationship Manager, Theatre and Touring at Arts Council England, will become Executive Director and joint Chief Executive; and ANNA MOUTREY has been appointed as Producer, following seven years working on projects at Manchester International Festival.
JOHN-JACKSON ALMOND is leaving Park Theatre, London, where he is Executive Director, to join the Assembly Hall Theatre, Royal Tunbridge Wells.
The new Managing Director at The Ulster Orchestra is RICHARD WIGLEY. Recently a consultant for the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra, he was previously at the Hallé Orchestra and spent ten years as General Manager of the BBC Philharmonic.
DR BRUCE BOUCHER, currently Director of the Fralin Museum of Art, University of Virginia, has been appointed Director of Sir John Soane’s Museum.
RUTH WEYMAN has joined Theatre Alibi as Executive Producer. She will lead the company alongside Artistic Director Nikki Sved and Administrative & Finance Director Mary Attewell.
