Trinity College London, the sister organisation of Trinity College of Music, and Guildhall Examinations, the external examinations division of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, are to merge.
The new organisation, Trinity Guildhall, will offer examinations in music, drama, dance and speech to some 300,000 candidates in over 50 countries. The amalgamation is intended to broaden the current range of examinations, incorporate multicultural traditions and integrate new technology. All current syllabuses and qualifications will remain in place until new systems become active, and the merger will be concluded over a period of six years.
