Glasgow?s Tron Theatre has appointed Ali Curran, formerly Director of the Peacock Theatre in Dublin, as its new Director, replacing Neil Murray who will shortly become Executive Director of the National Theatre of Scotland. Ann Nugent has left the Tron to become Press Manager at Scottish Ballet.

Beth Aplin, formerly Director of Catalyst Arts, and Pam Henderson (pictured), formerly Director of the Arts Marketing Association, have set up the Henderson Aplin Partnership to support the effective management of arts organisations.

Rambert Dance Company has announced that Education Officer Kyla Lucking is leaving to join South East Dance as Programme Manager for Creative Dance Apprenticeships. Web Manager Charlotte Kasner will also be leaving to concentrate on her doctoral studies. Piali Ray, Director of SAMPAD, and Tina Gaudoin, Style Director of the Saturday Times Magazine, have both joined Rambert?s board and Tina will also be chair of its Capital Campaign committee.

Joanna Down (pictured), Marketing Officer at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and Kate Evans, Marketing Manager at City Varieties, have joined the marketing team at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. Senior Marketing Officer Sarah Kennedy has left to join Bradford-based Mind the Gap as Marketing & Programming Manager.

Mark Trewin, Project Director of Plymouth Music Zone (PMZ), will be leaving to become General Manager of Deep Blue Sound in July. Ben Ballard, Music Programme Manager at PMZ, will be Acting Director until a successor is appointed.

Music at Oxford has appointed Tamsyn Howell Sprent as Artistic Administrator to replace Jennifer Johns. Tamsyn was previously Acting Music Festival Organiser at Cheltenham Arts Festivals.

Roger Fox, Chief Executive of the Voluntary Arts Network for the past ten years, will be leaving the organisation in June.

Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet have today announced that Christopher Barron, joint Chief Executive of both companies since 2000, will join Birmingham Royal Ballet as the new Chief Executive in October.

Jeremy Newton has been appointed Director of the Louise T. Blouin Foundation. This will be an international forum for the generation and dissemination of new knowledge about the art and science of creativity, and is due to be launched in New York next month.

Peter Sarah, Chief Executive of the Theatre Royal, Newcastle on Tyne has died suddenly aged 58. He joined the Theatre Royal as General Manager in 1998 and was named Chief Executive last year. Previous positions included General Manager of the Arts Council of South Australia and Chief Executive of the Contemporary Dance Trust, London.
