Tim Highman (pictured), Executive Director of English Touring Theatre, will be the new Executive Director at Theatre Royal Stratford East. He will take over from Belinda Kidd, who will become Executive Director of the Manchester International Festival.

Theatre company Tamasha has announced the appointment of a new Executive Director, Alex Darbyshire, who is currently an independent arts consultant and was previously at Universal Pictures as Vice President of Visual Programming. She replaces Bryan Savery, who is moving to become Executive Director at Hampstead Theatre.

Roger Hopwood is the new Manager at St David?s Hall in Cardiff. He was previously General Manager at Northampton?s Derngate Theatre, which has now closed for 14 months for refurbishment.

Jacqui Skelton has joined promenade theatre company, Poorboy, as General Manager. She was formerly Disability Co-ordinator for Queen Margaret University College.

The visual arts centre Wysing Arts has appointed Donna Lynas, Curator of the South London Gallery, as its new Artistic Director (Chief Executive). She replaces Trystan Hawkins, Director at the centre since 1996, who has become Artistic Programme Co-ordinator for the Vanguard Health Project for Plymouth Area Health Community.

Charlotte Platt has joined DixonRaines consultancy from the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, where she had been Development Director since 1992.

Sound It Out Community Music has appointed Matthew Daniels as its new Chief Executive Officer. For the past four years he has been Director of Make Some Noise Youth Music Action Zone, Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.

Dance UK?s Director, Ian Bramley, is leaving the organisation in June to pursue a range of freelance project work.

Lizzie Nicoll has returned to the Scottish theatre sector as the new Director of The Federation of Scottish Theatre. For the past two years she has been Head of Sponsorship at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and she has been involved with both Perth Theatre and Dundee Rep for many years.

The new Professor of Cultural Policy and Management and Head of Department at City University is Sara Selwood (pictured). She joins from the University of Westminster where she was Quintin Hogg Research Fellow and then Principal Lecturer in the School of Media, Arts and Design.

Simon Stallworthy has become the new manager of Durham?s Gala Theatre. He was previously Executive Director at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, and for the past two years has been working in television.
