A shake-up in funding structures has enabled Belfast City Council to offer funding to a number of new arts organisations for the next financial year.
A further eleven organisations, including Ulster Orchestra, Belfast Festival at Queen?s, The Old Museum Arts Centre and Belfast Community Circus School have been handed multi-annual funding guaranteeing support of up to £130,000 for the next three years. A total of £840,000 has been awarded to 48 organisations, an increase from £720,000 for 2004/05.
