News – Godber gives

Wakefield Theatres? new fundraising campaign has received an early boost with the donation of a new play by John Godber.
Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, which draws on Godber?s own experiences growing up in Upton, near Wakefield, will be directed by the playwright who will receive no directorial or royalty fee. The fundraising campaign has been launched to raise £6m to extend and modernise the theatre.
