What does your company do? Rage produces theatre and film and assists others to do the same. We give people the opportunity to gain skills through the performing arts.
What does your job involve? Fundraising, website design, organisation development, artistic direction, project management.
Who else have you worked for? Fircroft College – Short Course Administrator.
What do you enjoy most about your present post? The flexibility.
What do you find most difficult in your present post? Not having a mentor to bounce ideas off. Email me if you’re interested!
What is your career ambition? To create and assist others to create art in all forms and to introduce people to the magic of the arts.
Who has influenced your career to date the most – and why? Brian Norbury of Birmingham School of Speech and Drama – he inspired me to bear in mind that the worst thing that can happen if you ask someone for something is that they will say no.
If you had three wishes for the future of the arts, what would they be?
- That artists will be supported so they can continue to inspire people to be creative
- For greater recognition of the part the arts can play in people’s lives
- That more people will discover the magic of the arts.
