Pitlochry Festival Theatre is expanding its activities and management and is opening a new garden.
The Scottish Plant Collectors? Garden opened to the public on April 7 and combines visual arts with botanical exploration. The garden also provides a number of new performance and exhibition spaces including an amphitheatre and the David Douglas Pavilion (pictured). The garden is designed in association with the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. It is hoped that new audiences will be attracted to the Festival Theatre by the garden, which spans 300 years of plant collecting history and holds sculptures by Julia Barton and Nigel Ross. New posts of Head of Sales and Marketing and Fundraiser will support the development of the programme.
