Judith Isherwood (pictured), previously Director of Performing Arts and acting Chief Executive Officer at the Sydney Opera House, is to be the new Chief Executive of the Wales Millennium Centre.

The Open Air Theatre in Regent?s Park has appointed William Village as General Manager. He was previously Operations Manager at Worcester Swan and succeeds Sheila Benjamin who had worked with the company for over 14 years. Caroline Lee, former Head of Marketing and Sales at Salisbury Playhouse, is the new Marketing and Development Manager and Kathryn Williams has joined as Press and Marketing Officer. Shona McCarthy has taken over from Eleanor Goldwin as Office Manager.


Carole-Anne Davies (pictured) will step down as Director of CBAT: The Arts & Regeneration Agency to become the first Chief Executive of the new Design Commission for Wales.

Borderline Theatre Company has announced the appointment of Paul Brunton as Marketing Manager. He will leave Dance Base National Centre for Dance in Edinburgh, where he is currently Marketing Officer.

Rachael Murray has joined the Norfolk & Norwich Festival as Marketing Manager. She previously worked for Arts & Business in Yorkshire.

Forced Entertainment has announced the appointment of Matt Burman as its new General Manager. He previously worked at The Kings Consort and the British Council, and replaces Verity Leigh who has moved to North West Arts. Samantha Scott formerly with Compass Theatre Company, succeeds Helen Burgan as Marketing Manager.

Janet Dowling, Education Director of Northampton Theatres, is leaving her post to join the Civil Service.

The British Academy of Composers and Songwriters has appointed film and TV soundtrack composer David Ferguson as its new Chairman, to succeed Guy Fletcher. David has served on the Board of the Academy for three years and was made Vice-Chairman in 2001.

Angela Chrimes, previously Associate Producer at English Touring Theatre, has now left the company to become a Consultant at the Management Centre.

Birmingham Contemporary Music Group has appointed the composer John Woolrich as Artistic Associate.

Dr Fiona Bradley, Curator of Exhibitions at London?s Hayward Gallery, will join Edinburgh?s Fruitmarket Gallery in May as its new Director. She will succeed Graeme Murray, who leaves to pursue independent projects.
Anita Holford and Alex Patient, who with Kathryn Deane formed the Senior Management Team at Sound Sense for the past two years, have left the organisation to pursue their freelance careers. Alex Pitt is the new Head of Communications and Terri Wilson the new Head of Projects; and a further six staff have been appointed to run a range of new work programmes.

The new administrator for decibel and the Let?s Celebrate! Programme in the North West is Nick Thompson. He joins North West Arts from the British Council.
