ELEANOR DUVAL will become Artistic Director of Yama Dance Company in September.

Based in Bath, the community dance company provides dance lessons, training and performance opportunities to over 60s.

Duval carries a distinguished career in dance and education, beginning training at the Hamburg Opera in Germany and London’s Rambert School and dancing professionally since 1998.

She joined The Mark Bruce Company in 2006, where she continues to dance, alongside dancing with Dansconnect for two years and in various productions at Glyndebourne Opera and The Royal Albert Hall.

“I am so excited to be taking on the role,” Duval said.

“I look forward to working closely with such an incredible group of people in a creative, nurturing environment in which all can thrive, on and off the stage, and to implement the artistic vision of the company.”
