Independent Venue Week (IVW) has named the eight members of its new steering board, drawn from across the music business, ahead of the annual event in early 2024.

Working with partners including Arts Council England, See Tickets, and BBC Radio 6, the seven day nationwide festival highlights the role independent music and arts venues play in local communities and the music industry.

Co-founder of Earth Music Agency CLAIRE COURTNEY; founder of The Boileroom DOM FRAZER and General Manager of Songkick SARAH JONES all join the board that will guide IVW.

Joining them are CEO and founder of The Venue Group BEN LOVETT, CEO of Featured Artists Coalition DAVID MARTIN, Chief Strategy Officer at Shoobs CHRISTINE OSAZUWA and PR consultant and campaign manager at FanFair Alliance ADAM WEBB.

SYBIL BELL, founder of Independent Venue Week, said: “Having celebrated ten years of IVW in 2023, we decided it was high time to shake up our organisation and structures, get back to our roots, and ensure we can continue to deliver the maximum impact for our community.

“The new board will be pivotal to that process, and I’m delighted we’ve attracted such a diverse and experienced group, including venue owners, booking agents and technology specialists.”
