CATRIN FINCH will join Musicfest Aberystwyth as Artistic Director in August.
She replaces DAVID CAMPBELL, who plans to retire this year after more than 20 years at the helm.
A harpist and composer, Finch has performed across the world with many of the world’s top orchestras. She was nominated for a Classical Brit Award in 2004 and has received an Echo Klassik in Germany.
Finch said the new role is the perfect opportunity to give back to Ceredigion, which "nurtured my musical life and set me on my career".
"I am looking forward to getting down to work on the 2023 festival in the next months. I hope to be able to take Musicfest out to other parts of the county, and I look forward to seeing how we can cooperate with the County Music Service."
