Re:source, the council for museums, archives and libraries is changing its name to become The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (MLA).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Re:source board in January, following perception audits that revealed a lack of awareness, both within the sector itself and among the wider public, of what the organisation does. The change will take effect from February 9 and will cost an estimated £12,000.
