Watershed and Culture Cube in Bristol will be hosting the South West?s first festival celebrating deaf moving image culture from October 3-5.

With packages of short films, seminars and panel discussions, the VisionSign Film Festival will also screen an exclusive preview of Finding Nemo (pictured) complete with descriptive captioning. The festival coincides with the British government?s official recognition of British Sign Language as a language in its own right; and a recent announcement by the Film Council that new grants will enable up to 75 cinemas across the UK to install captioning and audio-description equipment. w: http://www.watershed.co.uk/visionsign
