Architects have drawn up plans to support a bid for a £4.7m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund towards a revamp of the 125-year-old Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library in Preston. The project, estimated to cost £10.7m in total, would include developing a central ground floor activity hub as well as improved spaces for events, exhibitions, and meetings.

The current owner of the Ambassadors Theatre in London’s West End has withdrawn from plans to sell the venue to Cameron Mackintosh after receiving higher offers. Mackintosh had been planning to transform the building into a flexible space named the Sondheim Theatre.
