Stoke to go ahead with culture plans despite budget cuts

A City Council fund originally set up in the wake of the city’s unsuccessful bid for UK City of Culture 2021 will be cut by 50% next year to £100k, but local politicians say the difference will be met by volunteers, businesses and external agencies.
