Over a quarter of school children report giving up an activity they enjoy doing due to fear of bullying, including arts activities, with 11% of children having stopped singing, 8% having given up drama and 9% having stopped dancing. 90% of children report having been bullied or seen someone be bullied for appearing intelligent or talented. The survey by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, to mark Anti-Bullying Week, also found that children try to appear less able than they are at school to avoid being teased.
