A partnership between two major dance organisations has been launched to tackle limited representation for disabled people in the dance world. Candoco Dance Company, which has championed inclusivity in dance since its inception 20 years ago, and music and dance conservatoire Trinity Laban will work together to embed inclusive practice into the culture of dance, integrating disabled dancers, makers, teachers and leaders into the profession. They will be providing mutual advisory roles for programme and curriculum developments and audition processes; developing structured professional development programmes; providing regular placements with Candoco for Trinity Laban students; collaborating on youth projects and student performance projects; and producing Candoco repertory productions and performances at the Laban Theatre.
