Voluntary Arts, the charity that advocates participation in the arts sector, has beaten 46 other voluntary and not-for-profit organisations to win this year’s Winifred Tumim Memorial Prize for Best Practice in Charity Governance. The £1,000 prize has been awarded in recognition of Voluntary Arts’ launch of its Governance Handbook. The award by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations is named after its former chair, Lady Tumim, who was known for her work in charity law reform.
