Coventry arts venues at risk of council cuts

A proposed £500k cut to the Herbert Art Gallery and Belgrade Theatre could force the gallery to close and the theatre to stop being a producing house – putting it at risk of losing Arts Council England funding – and potentially cost the city the 2021 UK City of Culture title, the council has been warned.
