The London Film School is to find a new home at the Barbican Centre and become part of an emerging cultural hub in the City of London. The building, which also houses the new Barbican cinemas, will provide state of the art facilities, public outreach space and areas for industry screenings and events. The graduate film-making school currently operates from multiple buildings in London’s Covent Garden: the new site will offer 25% more space and a location alongside other cultural institutions close by, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The move is set for 2016, the film school’s sixtieth year.
