Artis Impact

A new project is aiming to help integrate the teaching of core subjects with various artforms by linking primary schools with actors, musicians and dancers. Led by Artis and the Prince's Foundation for Children and the Arts, the ‘Artis Impact’ project could see children composing songs about punctuation, acting out habitats or dancing geometry. It is based on interdisciplinary methodology from the Learning Through the Arts programme from The Royal Conservatory in Canada Schools and is currently in a test phase in the UK, with plans for it to be available to schools in London from September 2013 and nationwide by the following academic year. Primary schools where children show the lowest levels of educational attainment will be eligible for the programme
