National Museums Scotland is bidding farewell to GORDON RINTOUL after 18 years as its Director. The former Chief Executive of the Sheffield Galleries and Museums Trust recently oversaw the implementation of NMS’ £80m masterplan, which was completed this year. The organisation is looking for a successor to start before Rintoul's departure in Spring 2020.
RAVI GURUMURTHY has been appointed Chief Executive of innovation foundation Nesta. He will leave his current role as Chief Innovation Officer at the International Rescue Committee later this year, replacing GEOFF MULGAN, who has held the role since 2011.
Dancefest has chosen KITTY ROSS to fill a new role as Executive Producer. Ross, who has more than 15 years’ experience in the cultural sector, will be charged with forging new relationships with stakeholders. Her previous roles include Managing Director at Pentabus Rural Theatre Company, Event Director for the Diamond Jubilee Festival in Battersea Park and Programme Director for the Mayor’s Thames Festival on London’s South Bank....
TONY REEKIE is to join Catherine Wheels Theatre Company as its Executive Director and Joint CEO, starting in 30 September. He was previously CEO of Imaginate, Scotland’s national development organisation for children’s theatre and dance.
PETER KELLNER will leave the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) when his term comes to an end in November. The former President of pollster YouGov said that the NCVO’s role was “more vital than ever as the challenges facing civil society and the communities we serve grow day by day”.

The Barbican has announced LOUISE JEFFREYS is stepping down as Artistic Director at the end of 2019. She joined the Barbican as Head of Theatre and Arts Projects in 1999, establishing and developing its theatre and dance programme, and went on to lead the company as Artistic Director in 2010.
HANNAH HARRIS has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Plymouth Culture. She joins from Plymouth College of Art where, as Director of Development, she initiated numerous partnership projects both nationally and internationally, focusing on arts education, talent development and business start-ups within the creative industries.
Welsh language theatre company Frân Wen has announced GETHIN EVANS as its new Artistic Director. Evans, currently joint Artistic Director of Cardiff based theatre company Cwmni Pluen Company, will take on his new role in the autumn.
North East arts organisation Helix Arts has announced SCOTT BURRELL as its new Director. He returns to the North East after three years working with artists and communities in London as Curator of Youth Programmes and Head of Programme for Create London, an arts organisation dedicated to making long-term projects that are useful to society.
Former Director of The Florence Trust PAUL BAYLEY joins Acme as its Head of Residencies and Awards after leading the trust for 15 years. He will be responsible for leading the future vision of Acme's Residencies and Awards programme.
